Candle Care

To ensure that you have the best possible performance for your candles, we recommend the following tips:

  • Before lighting your candle, ensure that your wick is trimmed to 5mm. Ensure that your wick is trimmed back to 5mm after every burn when the wax has re-set. This will ensure that the candle will burn evenly.

  • Ensure that on your first burn the whole surface is liquified before blowing the candle out. If there is wax on the edges this will create a tunnel effect on every future burn, altering its performance and overall burning time.

  • Do not burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time.

  • Ensure that the wax is kept clean, any flakes of soot can discolour the wax and alter the scent. Trimming your wick will avoid this.

  • To preserve the quality of your candle we recommend keeping the candle out of direct sunlight and in a cool dry place when unlit. Essential oils are super sensitive to heat and light and will evaporate if left in these conditions, storing your candle correctly will ensure the longevity of your candles scent throw.

  • Avoid air drafts which can cause sooting and uneven burning, and always burn candles in a well-ventilated room.

  • Once your candle has burned down to 5mm it is officially finished.  This can be resolved by re-ordering one of our candles!

  • For Safety - Be sure to place your candle on a stable, heat resistant surface before lighting. Never leave the candle unattended. Keep out of reach from children and pets.
